I See Dead People

OK, so this post doesn't have much (actually, nothing) to do with the retreats or workshops, but I just had to share these photos that I took when Stephanie and I made yet another trek to Scrap. We ended up sorta kinda lost, but what a great place to get lost in!

The dead guy is actually a theater prop, as is the statuary...AND these were 'drive-by' shootings ala DJ Pettitt, so I'm going to blame my new obsession on her...

This guy was on a street corner with his 'idea' sign--we couldn't figure out if he was selling ideas or wanting to buy ideas to plant on his farm. I had a bunch of ideas that I was willing to part with, but the light was green and I couldn't figure out how to stop--next time!
Hope you're taking some time out for being silly and playful--nothing beats a good laugh!

More gifts...

I don't know about you but I've sure been feeling that there's been a shift of late--a flow of abundance and gifts presenting themselves. I know they've always been there--they're just easier to see when you're present, and not living in the past, or worrying about the future. Guess that's why it's called the 'present'. Each moment is a gift and I'm grateful for all of them!

My good friend, Robin, came down for a visit, and we just hopped from one wonderful adventure to another. We're both wanting to collect 'evidence' with our cameras these days, so I'll just leave the photos to speak for themselves.

This pretty much sums up my state of mind these days. Have a great week!

Quite the Journey!!

That's how one student described the 2-day workshop with DJ Pettitt last week--quite the journey, indeed! We had an amazing group of women, coming from nine states to attend the workshop, and we couldn't have asked for a better group for the maiden Journey...
We met up on Sunday afternoon in downtown Los Gatos, where we followed DJ around and took photos of whatever caught our eye (and yes, we had some curious onlookers).

Even the mascot duck at the local flower store wasn't safe!

After wandering through town, we came together at a local bookstore to chat and view each other's photos. Everyone agreed that this was a great way to start the Journey!
The next two days were spent immersed in altered photos, paints, fabrics, and ephemera. DJ is a fabulous instructor and everyone was thrilled with what they learned in her class (you can see more photos on her blog).

We had two pairs of mothers and daughters, sisters, an aunt and niece, old friends meeting up, and new friendships being formed. Priceless!
I'm very blessed to be able to do what I love; and all the support and encouragement I've received just confirms that I'm on the right path. I'm looking forward to the next group of classes with Judy Wise and Katie Kendrick in July--perhaps you'd like to join us! See the website for full details...
